I started Privateer Tech because I got tired of watching good technology get ruined by bad business models. Every smart device wants its own app and its own subscription, and most of the industry treats your home like a captive audience instead of something you should actually own. I don't think that's how it should work, so I built a business that works differently.

I design and oversee every project personally, from the first conversation through the finished system, working with trusted local subcontractors for the physical installation. There's no call center and no handoff to someone unfamiliar with your home. If something needs attention months or years later, you're talking to the person who designed it, not a rotating support queue.

That discipline comes from more than a decade spent architecting technology systems for law firms, where downtime and sloppy work were never an option. I brought the same standard home, at a smaller and more personal scale.

Most clients meet me through a smart home or network project. That's rarely where it ends. Once you've seen the work firsthand and trust the judgment behind it, I become the person you call about anything technology related in the house, not just the system I designed. Think of it as a family office for your home's technology: one person to call, not a new vendor for every problem.
