Most of what's already in your home, including mainstream brands like Ring or Nest, can be integrated. Some devices are locked down by their manufacturer and genuinely won't play well with others. We'll tell you upfront if something isn't a good fit rather than promise it'll work and find out otherwise during install. And we're not going to make you rip out a doorbell or thermostat that already works just because it isn't what we'd pick from scratch. We'll just point you toward more private options going forward.

I design and oversee every project personally, from the first conversation through the finished system. Physical installation is handled by trusted local subcontractors I work with directly, not a subcontractor pulled from a national network.

Most of what we build has no required subscription. Remote access away from home runs through a small optional relay service (about $6.50/month), and ongoing support plans are available if you'd like one, but neither is required to keep your system running day to day.

It depends on which integrations you choose. Privacy isn't automatic here; it's decided integration by integration. The core system, and most of what we recommend, runs entirely locally: nothing leaves your network. But if you want something like Alexa voice control, that specific integration sends data to Amazon's cloud, because that's simply how Alexa works. We'll always tell you which parts of your system are local and which aren't, so you're deciding with full information, not assuming everything is private by default.
